Frequently Asked Questions

Because of the changing roles of auto glass, New England Mobile Auto Glass takes great care in specially training our installers. In all phases of windshield repair and replacement, we place special emphasis on SAFETY.

Q: What do I do if my auto glass is broken?

A: In Massachusetts there is no deductible on auto glass. Call your insurance agent. If you are not covered and are required to pay cash - remember to seek qualified repair shops. Don't choose by price but by quality or by who your insurance company recommends; if it costs less, they may be cutting corners and this could cost you your LIFE!!

Q: Can I choose where I take my vehicle for repair?

A: Yes and you should. It's the law that the customer MUST be able to take their vehicle to a repair shop of their choice. Get informed and make sure SAFETY is of utmost importance.

Q: What questions should I ask the repair shop?

A: Here are some suggestions:
  1. What type of glass do they use? (Aftermarket or Original Equipment)
  2. After replacement, how long before vehicle is safe to drive?
  3. Do they have a warranty? What is it?
  4. Do they have a location to return to if a problem would arise?
  5. Are their technicians well-trained and/or certified?
  6. What type of urethane do they used when installing?
  7. Do they offer mobile service for inclemental weather conditions?
  8. How warm must it be to properly complete work?
  9. How many years have they been in business?
  10. Do they support your local community?

EXPECTATIONS

When having glass replaced, set expectations as to what you would like. The shop you choose will have guidelines they need to follow - ask what they are. Be sure that scheduling of work is done at the BEST time and conditions for both you and the repair shop. Request information on the work performed and about the company, with telephone numbers for concerns or problems.
